Some hiccups during delivery and in trying to reach their post-order customer care which I'm willing to forgive in the spirit of All's Well That Ends Well, but overall the laptop seems to be in working conditions. The rubber is sort of disintegrating and showing its age but that's just time taking its toll, and there is something written on the spacebar of the keyboard which I think I'll have to use some chemicals to get rid of, but I'm happy the thing is functioning well.
I haven't benchmarked the battery life but it's nothing to write home about for an AMD laptop; about 4-5 hours, give or take. It's a ThinkPad so it supports Linux well, and the first thing I did when I got it was get rid of Windows, which went pretty smoothly.
I would give it like a 4.5 star rating, 0.5 deducted for the disintegrating rubber, grainy plastic, and the blemish on the spacebar, which the typing experience more than makes up for, which given how much you pay for it, it's pretty solid as long as it continues to work. I'll be back to update the rating should anything go wrong though, it hasn't really been too many days so maybe the honeymoon phase isn't over yet.
